Northland Pain Consultants has been providing quality pain management at Liberty Hospital for over twenty years. Several of our four practicing pain physicians have been together for over fifteen years. We are proud of our conservative treatment approach and hope you will notice a difference in the care you receive.

We practice at Liberty Surgical Center directly next to our office in the Maplecrest complex in Liberty as well as the outpatient pain clinic at Liberty Hospital.  Appointments are available daily in both locations.  Please visit the Contact Us page for more information.

Our Physicians

Our four physicians staff our two locations 5 days a week. 

James Piontek MD has been with the pain clinic at Liberty for over twenty years.  He is board certified in Anesthesia and Pain Management.

Kevin Knop MD has also been at Liberty for twenty years.  He is boarded in Anesthesia and Pain Management as well. 

Keith Neuenswander DO has been with the clinic since 1994.  He is boarded in Anesthesia and Pain Management.  He has an interest in implantable therapies such as spinal cord stimulators and intrathecal pumps.

Tom Porter MD joined the clinic in 2004 and has experience with conservative as well as  interventional therapies.  He is boarded in Anesthesia and a member of the American Academy of Pain Management.
